Only 30km from Grenoble, Chamrousse overlooks the valley. The ski station is divided into 2 areas, linked by the slopes and a system of free shuttle buses:
- Chamrousse 1650 (Recoin), the prefered playing area for intermediate to advanced skiers with red and black slopes, a forested part of the skiing area offering areas of undamed snow for some unforgettable sensations!
- Chamrousse 1700-1750 (Roche Béranger - Domaine de l'Arselle), adapted for beginners with wide green and blue slopes. Chamrousse's snowpark, the Sunset Park, is also to be found in this area.
In total, there are 90km of downhill slopes and 40km of cross-country skiing trails.
Non-skiers can enjoy the 360° view from the Croix de Chamrousse, at the very top of the skiing area and accessible by cable-car. Or you could dare to explore the depths of the Lacs Robert with an underwater ice-dive!
